The lighting of the Olympic Flame on 23rd
June 2004 in Amsterdam was a renewal of the satanic covenant. A free mason
initiated the event in 1926 in The Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. For that reason
it was absolutely necessary to mobilise God’s people to pray in order to thwart
the plans of the enemy.
Therefore several prayer efforts were
initiated: On the 14th there was a SE pastors’ meeting in Amsterdam. I asked
the pastor leader of SE to communicate to those pastors to pray regarding the
Torch event. He did and some of the pastors were planning to pray further on
19th June.
On
16th June the city prayer group prayed. It was a good time of prayer as there
was a spirit of unity among the group. We took the map of Amsterdam to pray
over the various spots where the flame would be going. We started from the
landing pad i.e. Schipol Airport to all those spots planned by the committee of
the Torch Event. At a specific moment I felt to take a group from different
churches to go to all the spots to renew our New Covenant by taking Holy
Communion.
The
next day on 17th June we had a group from 7 churches backed up by a prayer
group of a local church. A pastor was with us and we went to Schipol Airport.
First of all we went to the arrival terminal and prayed and sealed/anointed all
entry points including the gates. Some anointed the trolleys. We declared that
we do not want any false covenant. We forbid entry into the city of Amsterdam.
We
stood in front of the arrival terminal gate and worshipped the King of Kings.
We did spiritual warfare and renewed the covenant of our godly forefathers of
the city with Jesus. We proclaimed His Blood and His covenant.
There
was a couple that was with us and they renewed their marriage covenant and the
pastor ordained it. That ordination of the marriage covenant was also for all
marriages in Amsterdam as well as in the nation of The Netherlands. That was so
very special and significant! The presence of the Lord was with us.
After
that we went to the Arena [the largest sport stadium in Amsterdam]. We managed
to go in and prayed but later on we were asked to leave. We worshipped and also
renewed covenant by taking Holy Communion. We went to all the specified spots
and did the same.
One
significant place was the Olympic Stadium. As we stood in front of the fire
tower to worship the Lord, we waited for His instruction. We were to go round
the fire tower and anointed the ground with oil around it. We did that. The next
instruction was to go round the Olympic Stadium 7 times. The first time we
walked and the pastor dripped oil as we walked. Thus we encircled the place
with oil and prayed. We went round the stadium with our van and prayed for 6
times. It was very special. We reached home early hour in the morning.
On
the 19th June a team from Berea, a local church, prayed and did warfare on that
day. This group had been preparing themselves to pray against this event for a
good period of time.
On
23rd June, we organised a Prayer Blitz. Within 2 days we managed to get 12 to
15 churches to pray at 9am sharp. There was also a group in Limburg [another
province] praying one Spirit with us at 9am. That was the time the plane that
had the flame would land at the Schipol Airport. There was a storm at 9am and
the weather went really sour. Accordingly to the AT5 News Report, they said
that they could not choose a worst day than 23rd June. There were not many
people to watch the event, as it was rainy and stormy.
On
23rd afternoon the city prayer group continued to pray and do warfare. The
flame would be lighted at 6pm at the fire tower. This time we used the map that
the committee of the Torch had mapped out the spots and the itinerary for the
route of the flame. We prayed over the streets and anointed every spots with
oil. We had Holy Communion and declared the validity of the new covenant
through the shed blood of Jesus. We covered the city with the precious blood of
Jesus!
One
of the spots was closed down because it was too dangerous to have a stage as
the weather was too stormy.
Helene
Bos who was interceding on that day with the YWAM team on 23rd June witnessed
the account of the lighting of the flame at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.
They used petrol to blow up the flame but a strong wind blew it off. They did a
few times but finally and they managed to get the fire to the top of the fire
tower but the flame went off. She asked the man as to whether he would ignite
the flame again but he said "No" but would wait till the next Olympic
game.
We
are grateful to the faithfulness of God. Unity among brothers and sisters
brings the favour of God.
